collaborate to create the new music education series,
Disney's World of Music Discovery

Over the past several years, many elementary schools have eliminated music teachers and classes from their curriculum. Yet recent brain research proves that music education plays a dramatic role in stimulating and exercising the brain in young children. That's why Disney Educational Productions (DEP) and Integrated Media & Marketing LLC (IMM) are proud to announce their arrangement to jointly produce and distribute the new music education video series, Disney's World of Music Discovery.

Aimed at kids in grades K-6, Disney's World of Music Discovery series offers parents and schools an affordable way to utilize music education to improve their listening, spatial reasoning, cognitive, motor and social skills. The series integrates easily into any curriculum, providing kids with learning opportunities using classroom activities in math, science, art, social studies and language arts.

Kids utilizing Disney's World of Music Discovery series learn, for example, the science of pitch and volume.  They also learn to do math exercises using music notation, to recognize patterns from sound, to write musical reviews, and to match sounds with images and colors – just for starters. 

The series' five videos, Brass, Strings, Rhythm and Percussion, Woodwinds, and Voice use Disney's magic and favorite Disney melodies to teach kids about the families of instruments, the individual instruments typical of each family, how the instruments work and the musical styles of classical, folk, jazz, rock and pop. 

What's more, Disney's World of Music Discovery series offers local companies the chance to revitalize music education in their community by sponsoring the series in local schools; helping to keep music alive with the children in our schools.

Disney will executive produce, market and distribute Disney's World of Music Discovery, while IMM will provide product development and execution.
